Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Wii U games Resolution and fps talk. We need to clarify something.

So what you're saying is that the GamePad is like those weighted shirts and wristbands everyone used to wear on Dragonball Z, and a developer who removes the GamePad from the equation has access to more power?

Wii U secret sauce confirmed.

This might be why a game like Bayonetta 2 (which you mention is simply displaying the main action on the GamePad) is able to push the system a bit further than others. And I would mention that so far, Mario Kart 8 seems to be running at 60fps, and will most likely be able to display different action on both screens (for multiplayer).

Because they're phones, I said pixel density by the way.

Also we're comparing it to tablets arent we?

Nah..it honestly isn´t anything mindboggling, but it looks damn nice.

It seriously doesn´t look like a 152ppi screen to be honest....

...on the other side of the spectrum: It is unfair to compare the controller to smartphones/tablets that are more expensive than the entire system !

I really like the screen !

For comparison Vita is 221ppi.

The S4 is 441ppi.

Heck the PSP Go was 145ppi. Don't know why he's impressed by 152 in the Wii U...

The Vita screen must have some kind of magic sauce in it then ... it sometimes look better than my Samsung Galaxy S4 screen even when running identical content on it. Dat OLED.

There's a lot more to a screen than just ppi. Infact ppi is probably the least important statistic for measuring screen quality. I'm just confused since the first guy I replied to thought the gamepad's density was impressive.

"Is the gamepad 480p screen processing running on unicorn tears ?"

Bitch please, its being powered Pikmen inside our wiiUs!!!! (wii to wiiU system transfer joke)

But yea, I do feel as though the wiiU's performance thing is similar to the 3ds's performance thing where the 3ds has to render virtually all of their games on 3d therefor it's performance isn't as high as it could be

The image quality is better at higher brightness settings btw.

Oh that reminds me, what is the density on the LCD vita?

OLED's have better contrast and better density at times yes

I don't think it's that easy. I have no idea about resolutions really though (I still have a standard definition TV as my main method).

Practically the same...

Why are you so obsessed with density?
