The main issues raised with the MP was not graphics....I'm sure the MP will look just fine.

Main thing I saw people complaining about were little graphical glitches, except for that one incredibly idiotic IGN preview where they complained about the gore.

Of course, others I read had small complaints on combat depth or repetition. These matter zero to me as they go hand in hand with the genre.

It doesn't have to be like that. Sure alot of melee action games have repetition and all but ryse isn't fixing that negative about the whole genre.

They do not go hand in hand with the genre. Your just doing it wrong or playing shitty games in the genre.

I hope this means the MP build is improving. If it gets anywhere near the quality of the SP then we might have a real winner on our hands.

Well there is a months left afterall but I wouldn't get my hopes up for changing the multiplayer mechanics drastically even this close to launch.

I am not worried about mechanics. I was talking some of the graphical glitches and animation glitches. Gameplay wise it looks fine to me.

The multiplayer has long been rumored to be handed over to Ruffian games. This was back when the game was still a Kinect hybrid game. Also Crytek and Microsoft are using the SAME EXACT studio and technology that was used in Rise of the Planet of the Apes for the performance capture single player experience.

All this above is the reason why single player and multiplayer look completely different. The same technology used for the single player animations and character graphics is not being used on the multiplayer.

What this game really needs is a new demo/trailer that shows something brand new from the single player game and that doesn't have "this isn't the final version" stamped on the video.

The game has mixed reviews written all over it. I can see many slamming it and many praising it when it comes out, giving it around 70 on average perhaps.

That actually means that this is one of the most interesting launch games. I love it when reviewers don't know how to categorise games.

Heavy Rain varies from 30 - 100
Alan Wake varies from 60 - 100
Mirror's Edge varies from 50 - 95

I like those type of games. It feels just fresh to play them, even when it turns out that you are not really liking them, it felt good to play a game that did not feel like you have played it before.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

There's where we can agree to disagree, I don't view it as a negative. I don't mind that you can spam the same attacks over and over in Arkham, God of War, Conan, Dead Rising, Dante's Inferno, Dynasty Warriors, Darksiders, etc etc. It's par for the course. And in almost all of them (Ryse included) you can go deeper in the combat if you want, it's just not required. So I pay no attention when previews/reviews complain about combat depth in a game like this.

Ryse has come along way since the E3 show. They have redesigned the combat totally. Game looks amazing.

Looks good I guess.

Killer app I would think is an overstatement. It's not a game style that will have mass appeal I reckon. As in it's not going to be the next big thing, like FPS turned out to be this gen. However it could very well be a solid addition to the Xb one line up. As an evolution on hack'n'slash it's not quite what I want. I prefer the middle distance camera like God of War not the, in effect, TPS style camera.

I hope it works. We haven't had a solid FP hack 'n' slash since Hexen II.
