I can't imagine much more than a modest gain, perhaps around 100%-150%. I'll say 25k.

Without new software, moderate price-cuts aren't that effective. The Wii U is just going to have to tough it out until it gets some strong titles next year.

I think about the high 40's. It's a good move by Nintendo but I see it as more as a preparation move to increase Christmas sales than something that will generate a lot of sales the week of the pricecut itself.

Any word on whether this deal is coming to the UK yet?

I agree, I doubt we will see a huge increase the first few weeks.
It is definitely a preparation move.

tbh i dont think we should judge the first week cuz of 2 day sales but wateves! Hopefully it sells 50k+ especially since LoZ WWHD is out digitally!

You realize that even with the two days of a price drop nornally those sales would still be greater than the next 7 days. So, the price drop will probably increase sales to 30k in us but considering that ww bundle comes out the next week instead of drop it will probably have another bump. Probably to something like 45k then it will see a big drop. Probably to 25k for the weeks following.

i said that cuz vita price drop in both regions (US+Europe) had a 2k-3k increase with it being on a Wed (4days of price cut)!

So you are thinking the Wii U will have less than that since its only 2 days? If in 2 days of a 50 dollar price cut the Wii U sells less than 2-3k more than previous cuts then we should just pour the dirt over the coffin and put up a tombstone at that point. However, im optimistic it will recieve a bigger boost than a few thousand

Lots of pre-orders at Gamestops and BestBuys according to some people for the Wind Waker bundle. I'm also walking in and getting one one day one. I'd assume the Wind Waker bundle is going to get a nice lift, especially at $300.

In the long run It's going to need a steady slew of games. Sales should be decent through the holiday.

It's just that simple.
