It is, so is the series, BUT, V is very good, great dialog, beautiful world full of details and content. No game has had this type of scale, and polish. So many fun things to do.

Review scores are inflated because of overwhelming commercial bias. Most review scores on metacritic come from commercial sources that rely and dependent on user subscriptions or ads for revenue.

Can you imagine if IGN gave GTAV a 7 or 8? It would cause a shitstorm and they would lose subscriptions.

People expect this and the next elder scrolls game to get high scores, also, Rockstar has a way of creating a certain initial "WOW" factor in their games.. These reviews are likely rushed so the reviewer doesn't have a chance to fully absorb all impressions and make a fair review.

In other words, GTAV reviews are inflated because of overwhelming popular pressure as well as based on "undigested" impressions.

I too first liked La Noire and RDR but then it left a real sour taste.

I'm sure the 2% distinguishing it from the 96 games marks a significant difference in quality.

I'm playing it now, and it's great, but a metascore in the high 90s is just ridiculous. It's not flawless by any stretch. Hell, it's not even the best-made game of this year by any stretch (I'd put it in third). But to each their own, I suppose. It's worth noting that the user score is much lower.

Agreed..if anything the PS3 version has slightly better textures but the difference is far too small to say one is superiour to the other.

Huh, what happen to all the rumors saying the 360 version was going to be the inferior version? So far what I've played the game looks great and is fun ass hell.
