The most important fact from this face-off is that once again GTA dips to unplayable framerates when the action gets heavy. Rockstar seems unable to deliver a polished game, even when they self-reportedly understand the consoles for the full 100%.

I'm going to buy GTA V and I'm going to enjoy it, but damnit if Rockstar aren't one of the most incompetent developers around.

What? Name 1 game with this scale? It is amazing it runs as well as it does on the old consoles. please.

I don't care, 20fps and below is unacceptable. Gameplay should always be the highest priority. That said, I'm sure GTA V will be a really enjoyable game most of the time.

If it happens all the time yes, just a few spots in a  game this long and big, then meh.

We can agree on that. I just hope the framerate is mostly solid around 30 at the very least. GTA IV had a shitty framerate and horrible pop-in problems.

Waiting for hopefully non-gimped PC version (unlike GTA IV)

See people, Bethesda is incompetent, no other way around it now.

This x100.

OT: I've only played a little bit last night, but I have to say this is the best looking open world game I've ever played on a console. Detail-wise, I'd even say it's comparable to The Witcher 2 on PC. And in terms of pure mechanics, it's unmatched by any game. The world just feels alive.

The PC version of GTA IV was gimped? How so?

Horribly optimized.

20FPS? I guess i'm gonna wait for the PC version.

Just release it on PC then we'll see a difference.

I'll wait for PC or PS4. I knew that the current hardware was going to limit the game badly in terms of fps.

I was looking at my friend playing the game and the attention to detail was amazing, but he said the driving was off compared to GTA4.

Driving in GTA 4 was terrible in my opinion, but I would say that I know what your friend is talking about when he says that the driving feels off in this game. I would think that that was intentional though, since you have to improve your driving ability in this game like San Andreas.

You make it sound like any other developer could do better with an open world multiplat game.

Can't wait for the full 15fps in my late PC port before it gets patched.
