Gamecube? Wii? Dolphin Wii version? (Ugh hard to set up though) HD version on PS3/360?

The best way to play any game is the original, hard copy. So, Gamecube all the way imo.

I would say the Wii version is the definitive version of the game. It has all the extra content from the PS2 version, and it has IR aiming.

Wii version. The pointer controls feel so natural and fun that you forget the game wasn't originally designed with them in mind.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I'm kinda eh on the wii version because the faster controls seems like it'll make the game a lot easier.

Well I can always Gc controller with the wii version.

Wii version

Its like the PS2 and GC version had a baby!

PS2 and PC (without mods) look the worst

PC has no mouse aim or lighting

GC lacks PS2 extras

PS3/360 HD versions have meh controls

I don't like the wii version with pointer. With the normal controls it's probably best version if you have dolphin. If you like pointer controls, and don't like RE tank controls then this is best.

As far as I know the HD versions is the same thing except in 720p. So if you don't have dolphin and don't like pointer controls (no move support), it might be the best version for you. They didn't update any textures from the wii version.

The PC version has texture, model (Increase polygon count), lighting mods which make the game look the best. However, picking the mods and deciding which ones you like is a project in itself, you have to find patches because it was originally a buggy mess. It also has no rumble support and the cutscenes are FMV's instead of ingame like the Wii, GC, and HD versions.

I own and have beaten the GC, Wii, and PC versions. I haven't played the HD versions because I had no reason to so I can't confirm they have meh controls like the person above, or say if theres anything really irritating about that version.

I was also wondering this. Let me just add RE4 Wii Edition to my already endless backlog.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Wii version. Has extra content, proper widescreen, and choice of control options.
