ND could learn some things from indies as well, regarding gameplay.

I absolutely agree.  Though I do appreciate their progressive philosophies, in general.

maybe they themselves could learn how to make games rather than interactive movies.

Define a game?

Define a game?

a balance between gameplay and story rather than weak gameplay and too story oriented.

“I feel like AAA games… we’re on this cusp of at the very least seeing strong, non-sexualized female protagonists starring in games. You’re going to see a lot more of those, and a lot more that are commercially successful.”

well if they try to force a female protagonist into the starring role of games like The Last of US or Uncharted, they better be prepared for the commercial failure that that game will be, especially when compared to the success of The Last of US and Uncharted.

i just dont think Sony would allow its star developer to take such a stupid risk, they will probably make sure ND stays sain and continue to make games like uncharted and the last of us.

Uncharted 3 story was thin as a paper.

They could learn from Indies not just for story but for developing a game as well.

There's this Indie game called Skara: The Blade Remains, made by 8 Bit Studios. Anyway this game is MOBA mixed with some VS. style gameplay. But the real catch is that they want the community to help make the game with them. They have a forum in which you can talk with the development team and then pitch ideas for the game.

You can even create your own faction for multiplayer, who else does that?

Here's the article where they talk about it, there's an interview with the creators in it so that's why I'm posting it. It also has the link to the forums.

Oh and the Beta is coming up soon and if you're active on the forums you get Beta access. That's a cool tradeoff.

In case you didn't know, I have a comic book called Guardians. I'm the writer/creator of it, and we have four issues out right now, with our fifth coming out soon!

We're also doing a Patreon right now for the comic, and I'd appreciate any and all help in getting it funded. If 56 people pledged $3 per issue, we'll be funded

To pledge, click here. Please join Team Guardians!

I agree with whatever ND says.

ND says DRM and always online should be on next gen consoles.

All I can find about that is about Jason Rubin, who hasn't been with the company since 2004.

I was joking about his blind loyalty lol

The most retarded ND game criticism.

The first time I beat TLOU I played largely for the story, but I beat it a second, third and fourth time, then played 30 hours (and counting) in MP because it's fun as fuck.

I like great developers that acknowledge the merits even of small and humble, but talented colleagues. It's the right attitude to keep on pushing quality and creativity without sitting on their laurels, and also to avoid errors caused by arrogance.
