I'll be picking this up eventually. Haven't played any in the series, but I love Nintendo so I am willing to risk $60.

In Pikmin 3's defense, as far as I've read it doesn't have the luxary of a higher console install base that the previous 2 had. I think Pikmin 3 will have legs, but it is clear in my eyes that Nintendo sacrfised Pk3 sales in order to get the Wii U rolling a little bit before the big guns come out.

It was also the holidays and GameCube had much fewer quality games than Wii U (for obvious reasons).

I dont understand u sometimes Soundwave, u claim to be a big Nintendo fan and post almost exclusively in Nintendo threads, yet im not sure ive ever seen u post anything positive.

According to this site, in USA Wii U has 1/30 the install base of 360, 1/20 of PS3 and 1/7 of 3DS yet was still able to get a game in the top 10 and roughly 10% of Wii U owners have purchased it. There is no way to spin that into bad news regardless of its lifetime sales.

U should have just left ur post as "its decent" because the rest of ur post is just a negative statement in a positive thread that has nothing to do with the OP.

I'm not positive about the Wii U and I make no secret about that (I think it's an incredibly poorly thought out product for today's market), but from what I remember our projections for the console really aren't that far off. You said Nintendo might be able to get to 40 million Wii Us LTD, I think it'll be more like 30 million, maybe a touch less.

Not really a huge difference.
