Forums - Gaming Discussion - Microsoft reminding gamers that they have done a “180″

Actually, judging by the language, it looks like they want you to think they designed the system like this from the start.

Good move by microsoft. They are informing customers about their policy change. But still it seems a desperate approach to me. Is pre order number than low in NA? Here is the pic.

But when sony poke them they are unprofessionals?

Stopped reading when it said, "we designed it to be your"

No, you fucking didnt. You designed it to be very restrictive and you just had to abandon that

So did they put it the way most gamers want or not?

If it was by design every single person involved needs to be fired

Dude, seriously, take a chill pill.

Nothing Microsoft could ever have said or done with the Xbox One would have convinced you to purchase one.

Therefore, nothing they have said or done with relation to the Xbox One has had any impact on you.  Don't let it get to you so much.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

they arent reminding of a 180, they are trying to act like the whole DRM/always online fiasco never happend. lol

i guess that sounds better then the alternative..

I am Torgo, I take care of the place while the master is away.

"Hes the clown that makes the dark side fun.. Torgo!"

Ha.. i won my bet, but i wasnt around to gloat because im on a better forum!  See ya guys on Viz

I actually find this kind of really, really hilarious. They fucked up SO badly that they have to basically use 'we didn't actually go through with screwing you over' as a marketing ploy. They advertise "play online or offline, it's up to you' as though we were living in a world where that wasn't a given.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

Except for the fine print suggesting that some games need a connection on installation.

But yes it's rather funny they're now advertising what should have been obvious
- Buy games on disc or download
- You are allowed to own your disc based games
- You can play offline
- You can pause your game
- Other family members are allowed to use your xbox one

Btw how is 'suspend and resume gameplay even in the middle of a battle' going to work with online gaming and Demon/Dark souls kind of games.

I can't stand the "this ones for you" slogan. It's just so utterly dull. Microsofts sent me 3 different iterations of these ads, all with "this ones for you". Urghh...

You where never going to buy one anyway, even if they didn't do DRM, you would still be in here talking it down.

So you want  a side bar explaining the whole internet war and how they came to this decision and all. Get over your self.

So they are supposed to say, I fucked u, please buy my Console? ( I wil add this is only your perception, not everyone else's)

What is wrong with what they are doing? IT WILL WORK.

They need to get the point accross. I'm sure they don't care about people who have a chip on their shoulder.
