360 stole half of the PS2 installbase, no mean feat when one considers that Japan was a write-off for MS.

In the history, is there any other gaming console can reach 80million sales with only 2 markets alive and 1 market absolute death?

I even feel more proud to X360.

I think its an Image thing. The Xbox Image is pretty bad there. Starting with the o.g Xbox. Loud, big and American, RROD definetly did not help the image. Iphones are considered cool and sleek.

Yes, Japan never got the original Xbox. The 360 is a marked improvement, however.

I doubt the XOne will take off there either. Don't know why, guess it just doesn't appeal to them.

it wil be intresting going into the next gen as Ms have built up a nice fanbase. although both gens they have been in they finnished last.. still intresting.

Japan. although i guess it could be applied globaly too. the X1 only just outsold the gamcube in the end.. but comapred to the PS2 lead the both lost by a landslide.
