before playing games in ps3 I already had a huge backlog games. But in ps3 I played all games till 2010. Then I got "Demons souls". This game started my ps3 backlog list. Now I have 10-12 games half finished. The most embarrassing one is mgs hd peace walker where I am unable to go to chapter 5. I guess I dont have enough time + patience to complete those games.

Life, hobbyist, sales. Sometimes you can't get everything done at once. Also, I find that if you play multiplayer a lot like I do, it tends to cut the time you get with single player games in half these days.

Im just addicted to buying games :( even though I have so many to play I buy more, so I have a very low rate of complettion. To give a recent example...

I brought Deadpool a few weeks ago as wanted a new game, and not much was coming out then. I've played it once so far, but enjoyed it enough that I have the 'intent' of playing it more. Then I brought Dragons Crown, which I have clocked up 20 hours so far, and also brought Murasama Rebirth (which I havent even booted up yet).

Then came Killzone Mercenary, which I had planned to buy for a long time since its reveal (had 20 minutes on it so far, but it looked really good so will play it). But then it was pointed out to me Final Fantasy XIV ARR was out for PS3, having played MMO's a few times in the past (a 4 or 5 year stint on WoW) I decided I wanted to try it on the PS3, Been really enjoying it and since I have had it I have played it whenever I have free time.

So currently im playing FFXIV none stop, but does that stop me buying more?.... nope

Then Puppeteer caught my eye, though I heard of it in the past it never really got my attention as first I thought it was a Move only game, and then the reviews came out which I looked up and it really got me interested.

So I spent a few days umming and arring about whether or not to get it. Even though implaying FF, havent had time to play the others, and knowing that this coming Tuesday I will have GTAV. But I decided to get it, so went to order it and then saw that Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD was out the same day! and I loved that game so I had to have it, so I ordered that. Its unusual for me to be caught by surprise by a games release, I usualy know long in advance and am waiting in anticipation. Though I was tempted to get all 3, and could maybe just afford it, I decided to leave Puppeteer, not so much because of lack of want, but because of lack of funds. But I know myself too well, and come next week when I get paid I will probably buy it...

The games I have had over the last 4 weeks....

Pikmin 3 (didnt like it, had about 3 hours on it and traded it)
Lego City Undercover (same as above)
Deadpool (had about 2 hours on it, though gameplay mediocre, plan to play it for comedy value)
Murasama Rebirth (not even booted up yet)
Dragons Crown's (had quite a bit of playtime, over 20 hours)
Final Fantasy XIV (replaced Dragon's Crown and playing it all the time)
KillZone Mercenary (had 20 mins so far, been playing FFXIV)
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD (willl arrive tomorrow)
GTAV (will arrive in about 4 days)

Currently own 2x PSVita's, PS3 and WiiU

I have no idea how im going to get to play all these before the PS4 comes out : /

Things I have preordered!

PS4 (ordered as soon as announced, love my Playstation)
XBox One (umming and arring if I will get it, but preordered just in case)

Game due out I'm almost 100% certain to buy

Battlefield 4
Killzone Shadowfall
Deep Down
Evil Within
Titanfall (if I get the XB)
Puppeteer
Beyond: Two Souls
Watchdogs
Destiny
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD (for Vita)
InFamous Second Son
The Division
Elder Scrolls Online
Dying Light
FFXIV (PS4 version)
DriveClub (cause its free)

All the above I expect to get, below are games that have my attention but havent decided to buy, but again knowing myself as I do, I expect to end up having atleast some (maybe all) the following...

CoD: Ghosts
the Order
Witcher 3
Assassins Creed IV

Suffice to say, as I work 40 hours a week to afford all the above, I will never have to the time to play them all, certainly not too completion :(

The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.

If you ask me, if people play a lot of multiplayer its a huge backlog creator if you also like single player games.

Steam sales and Bundles.

When i purchase a game. I usually start playing it the same day. I will stick to the game until completion.

I never really purchase multiple games at the same time so I never have a backlog. If a game comes out i really like and i purchase it. Then the week after another game comes out, I will not get it until i have finished my current game. Chances are by the time I get around to wanting to play that game the RRP has already been reduced. Why waist money?

An exception to this rule is if I believe i can play the games concurrently or if its on Special offer.
With that said I dont complete every game. I still have not finished RE5 though I have played many games since then.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

Well, when I buy games, I do plan on playing them.

Because most people are idiots so they do stupid things L0L

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Sales and time are my main factors, as well as "being in the mood".

Almost all my games come from sales, mostly Steam but also from stores, and I buy them because I want to play them not to own them. The problems are that I don't have that mush time to play and that there are some games/franchises that have my priority and until I finish those I don't start other games, and when that happens I may not have the mood to play them.

For example, I've just started to play Assassins Creed 3 on WiiU. And when I finish it it's very probable that I won't want to play another open world game. Why? Because that's what I've already done. So I will play another thing, a platformer, a RPG, whatever. And when I beat that game I will change again of genre, and then again, and again, etc.

That means that my backlog will increase as there are genres that are more popular than others. Just this year, with Saints Row 4, GTA V and WatchDogs I'll have 3 sandbox/open world games to add to my backlog once they're cheap...

Please excuse my bad English.
