Forums - Sony Discussion - PSVITA.TV just announced!!!

Wow wasn't expecting that. If it releases over here for £70-80, I might have to get one. Being able to play Vita games and having remote play for the TV in the other room sound pretty nifty to me.

It sounded great at first but how more I read about it how more I don't want it, it is called vita tv but does not play all vita games (no Uncharted why?), a good price but then should have been included with a 64 GB memorycard atleast...8 GB sound like the PS3 12/16 GB no gamer would really want it. If they released it 2 years ago with 64 GB memorycard I would have got it but now it feels to much like 'we want to make a lot of money so buy it and buy many overpriced memorycards'

Question is why would they even bother releasing this in Japan? Japan is more interested in HANDHELD gaming, so I don't think VitaTV will do much to boost sales in Japan. This seems to be a Western product, meant for EU and US. And developing countries, so called "other regions"

"More interested in handheld gaming" =/= "Not interested in gaming on a big screen".

What I'm saying is that this will sell way better in the West than in Japan.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Well yeah, I agree.  But PS4 will sell better in the west than in Japan.  That doesn't mean that Sony shouldn't bother to release it over there (your first sentence).

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

?

PS4 -> WiFi to your Router -> WiFi to your Vita -> cable to TV.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

Sony is so bad at marketing handhelds that they gave up and turned the Vita into a home console?

Other than the cheap price, I still don't see the appeal. Do ppl really want a Vita home console when you can get PS4 or any of the other 2 consoles? The price is super cheap so maybe ppl will buy it, but if this happens it will hurt the sales of the handheld. Why pay 200$ for a handheld that only plays the exact same games that I already can play on my VitaTV for 100$? 200$ only to be able to play the same game Iv'e been playing on the bus, you will seriously need to have money to get rid of in order to think it's worth it.

Since this is the creation of a new home console at the expense of the handheld, I don't see the 3DS being affected by it.

I'm pretty sure they said the game on offer would be different in other regions when they first announced this.

so in the advertisement the vita should be in the kid's room connected to his cable box via hdmi?
