Wii U: My console of choice, got it at launch, love it. Game release problems, but most of the stuff I want to play this generation is going to be on this little box. I just love Nintendo.

PS4: Though I won't be getting one for a long time (I still haven't gotten a PS3 yet, though I probably will someday), it's the clear winner for the average gamer this generation. More power, less crap, a more gamer-centric vision, more creativity, everything going for it.

Xbox One: A joke so bad it's not even funny. A system that costs more just to do more things I don't want. Not a system for gamers. Made by a company that does not understand its audience in the slightest and is bent on doing everything wrong. Wouldn't touch the thing with a ten-foot pole.

the last one XD XD

That both their launch titles line-ups for the most part suck ass. If we're including Wii U then all three of them sucked.

As for which ones I'll buy, most likely just a ps4 for the first year it's out and maybe a few years down the line get the xbox and wii U.

Hardware

PS4 and XBO get two big thumbs up from me with respect to hardware.

Wii U ..... it would have received that response in 05/06

Price

PS4 definitely. XBO is okay but I don't care for Kinect so parting with an extra 100 is a big deal for me. While the Wii U is the cheapest out of the box, I'll have to buy a pro controller and HDD to fully enjoy the system so that bring the cost up a bit, and the tech is retrograde, so in a sense I don't feel like I'm getting my value for money (from a tech perspective of course and I am very indifferent about the tablet so it's a waste of money for me)

Games

PS4 and Wii U are the two that satisfy me the most considering the first party line up. Assuming TitanFall is a timed exclusive, I have no real reason to want to own a XBO at this point.

Online

XBO and PS4 seem to be where the real action will be. Yes we have to pay but we're getting what we pay for - a good experience. I'm not convinced on Nintendo's offerings online yet and I tend to wonder how populated their space will be for third party games. Save for Smash and MK8, I don't see myself playing the Wii U much online.

Those I intend to own

Considering everything, I plan on getting PS4 + Wii U for my entertainment. The Sony + Nintendo combination worked well for me throughout the generations - save for this gen since I chose not to buy a Wii - so from a software perspective I think it will continue that way for me.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

They look good, I'll probably get them in this order:
3DS (Already own)
PS4 (Pre-ordered)
WiiU
PSV
XBO

Wii U - It's problems lie in Wii's success of the last gen. Wii was hugely successful in the casual market but now they don't want another Wii with a new screen pad. That's the problem, casuals think it's a Wii, they don't realise it's a new console even if that's just down to the name. The innovative control that made the success of the Wii is no longer selling power.

Xbone - Insulting customers and calling us all thieves before you release your console is not a good start. Thankfully they changed this. Other than that, controller seems to be nicely improved and they are getting one with what they should have been from the start. Bad PR has hurt it, MS fault not the consoles.

PS4 - Kick in the teeth that we have to pay for online play however it's a paywall to help support the servers and the new functions so I can understand it. But it's only online play that is behind the wall, Netflix, MMOs are not behind it. Controller looks larger which I don't like.

Currently no console announce/released has a game that appeals to me, Resogun only I think. Will get next gen when DA3 comes out.

Hmm, pie.
