Forums - Gaming Discussion - What would be your 'Gaming Dream Come True'?

To be honest, I'd like to see Sony + Nintendo team up and collaboratively make a unified console platform + cell phone/tablet portable platform with physical controls.

I'd never have to buy multiple consoles/handhelds ever again, there would never be a lull in releases or a weakness in library, and imagine the Smash Bros. roster.

Nintendo is still my favorite publisher on the software side and they still have a certain magic about them, but I just like Sony's hardware phiosophy and willingness to try out new franchises more often a lot.

To add a little controversy, I would like to see Nintendo leave the console business.

They make great games, but there consoles have never been too appealing to me. I got a Wii U and it gets little use.

If they shifted focus to making games only I could 'have my cake and eat it' :P

They could continue in the handheld market where they have been dominant for many years

The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.

Problem is those "new franchises" just use the same forumula over and over again. I'm not trying to just be a Nintendo fanboy here but the gameplay mechanics and overall goals to accomplish in Nintendo games alter a LOT. So many of these new Sony games coming out seem to be the same gameplay type that we have all conquered before. We need new things to conquer! That being said, I do appreciate their focus on story development in these new games (something Nintendo either does very well {Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door} or very poorly {New Super Mario Bros. Ds/wii/Wiiu/2}).
