Will Pokemon change from top-down to behind the back?
Will they make use of the other stick at all? Smash Bros and 2D platformers don't need it, will it just be for 3rd parties?
Anyway here's what I think.
Animal Crossing- Still isometric because of a need to keep the overworld simple enough so that kids don't get stuck so easily. However, while one is used to move, the other can scroll through items as you move. Great way to streamline and prepare for the next task without having to stop to pull up a menu to pull out a tool.
Pokemon-Behind the back. Pokemon X/Y is trying this out to a degree with certain sections (The paris city and the desert? also some cutscenes) to be not top-down. I think we'll see a behind the back Pokemon as time goes on. (Oh the gym possibilities)
Kid Icarus-Well this needed dual analog anyways. Not that I disliked the stylus, but holding it with 1 hand for a while is tiresome.
Smash-C stick like functions on the GC controller and good for Trophy viewing.
Fire Emblem-I honestly have no idea how they could use the other stick. Maybe not at all.
Mario RPG-Still isometric, other stick used sometimes for action commands and minigames but that's about it.
Mario Kart-Used for quick views of the sides and the back. (Why they aren't doing this in MK8 I will never know. D-pad's fine for this too)
Obviously 2D Marios won't be using it at all.
Bonus-Handhelds can be used as controllers. Very important and can get Nintendo handheld players to buy more consoles. I mean why not if you already have an extra controller?
