Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Who Will Look Like the Bigger Fools over Xb One 2nd GPU?

Who will look more desperate over Xb one 2nd GPU rumours?

Xb one fans who want to see that 2nd GPU. 218 47.29%

Ps4 fans who are sure there isn't a 2nd GPU. 76 16.49%

They're all fools regard... 167 36.23%

Total:461

I really haven't seen as many people who believe this to be 100% true as I have those who believe it to be 100% false. Most of the people who are anywhere near the "believe it's true" side seem to be merely entertaining it more than anything else. Sure us Xbots probably wouldn't mind but you can bet your ass that I won't be "disappointed" if it's not true as I'm getting the One regardless. Many people that don't believe it are downright vehement about the shit. Going on that, I would say that the loudest bunch would look the most foolish.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

LOL.

What a thread.

The poll should have " the media that claims they have sources? "

Its a rumour. Its possible and not possible. Dont quite get the thread.

More importantly whats interesting is the actual design of Xbox Ones GPU and its Co Processors.

The arguments will change, the hating will go on. It doesn't matter, really. Imagine the Xbox One was done by Sony, including Kinect 2. Microsoft Fans would hate it with a passion. Imagine the PS4 was made by Microsoft, without Kinect and all. Sony Fans would hate it with a passion.

Imagine Nintendo made a powerful system again. Nintendo Fans would be like "Specs are teh most important thing EVAAR!" and stuff. Imagine Sony or Microsoft would make systems with low specs. The fans would tell you that "specs don't matter anyway, it's da software and TEH CLOUD/TEH CELL!"

Really. It doesn't matter. At all.

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

That really doesn't matter at this point. The Xbox 360 smashed the Playstation 3 in multi platform games. The PS3 is outselling the X360 in Japan and Europe. Who has the best graphics means nothing, and this is coming from a Wii U owner.

3 more weeks until this never ending rumor is in the rear view...

Around the Network

In the deeper end, we're all fools.

why would they do that instead of just one big efficient/easy(easier) gpu? i remember about a year ago or so there was a rumor(s) that was getting a lot of steam/attention of a discrete gpu in the ps4,and devs at beyond3d didnt like the idea at all, talked about complexity, how far away is it from the other gpu, efficiency issues ect ect ect.. there wasnt one dev/tech guy there that wanted this to come true over having just one big easier efficient gpu. there overall reaction on this was meh

This was kind of what I was hoping the conversation would have turned into in the actual rumor thread, but instead we can't have that discussion, we can only have the discussion of whether it is true or not and for some people if it isn't true there is no reason to discuss what a dGPU would mean.

If you're programming to hardware, I would imagine two GPUs would be difficult.  However, in the case of Microsoft, if you're developing the API as well as the hardware, I'm guessing you'd be able to simplify the process.

I don't disagree that a more powerful GPU would make it easier.  I imagine it's cheaper to license older technology though and a dGPU of the same power would be just as beneficial as one of more power.

I do not think the majority of Xbox fans actually believe this... And the debate in the other thread is about another point : people claiming thing in both ways without any proof and taking their words for the reality even if at the end they end up being right :)

There you go...

Nobody. After reading and responding in those threads, no one actually said they believed it but a very small few.

Instead, you have PS fanboys calling Xbox fanboys desperate for entertaining that the rumor can be true. so basically the same crap as always. Instead of people discussing the merits of a rumor and what can and cannot be true, it devolved into another fanboy argument.

This.
