i wish i could draw like that T-T

Yeah, me too.

What amazes me is how diverse they are. Some seem real paintings, other watercolors, other just color pencils, etc.

It's impressive.

The Art Academy app allows you to use different things to draw with. Pencil, charcoal, brushes, etc.

Its 3.99 I think with a full retail version coming soon.

I'll get the full "game" when it launches, that's for sure.

And even with the tools, it's impressive the results given that it's all fake, just you and your stylus on a pad, and yet the results are so real...

Please excuse my bad English.

Wait..since when you can add color to Miiverse pictures? 0.o

The regular doodle-function in regular posts is still the same, but they've released a seperate app (Art Academy Sketchpad, kind of like an elaborate demo for the new Art Academy coming soon) with which you can make more professional drawings, needless to say, it's effective.

I`m just speechless. Some of those drawings are just amazing.

The idea (some posts above) of using this on commercials is a really good idea. This is one of the things you can only do on Wii U.
Also, would be great if Nintendo sold or gave for free the best drawings (online competition) on a ebook to keep those drawings!

Nice, is this all fan art or something you make in the game?

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

You make this on a App for Wii U (fan art off game).

I heard somewhere they're going to have a bigger version with tutorials? I would get that version straight away.

They will launch an Art Accademy game on WiiU. In past games, they teach you how to draw and paint to get the best results.

If you want to know more, find reviews of the 2 previous games on the DS and 3DS.

I don't no why they don't just add further DLC for this app instead of making a retail game, I'd purchase lessons, gallery and extra tools.

I thought it's because they were working on the retail game for some time now and they initially didn't realize that drawing in Miiverse on the WiiU would get big. The goal of Miiverse's simple drawing capability was just to have people make simple sketches to be able to convey their questions/problems or sollutions about certain games in a more visual way to other players. When people started making complete artworks with it, which Nintendo didn't expect, they decided to release a few features of the new game bundled in this app instead of making everyone wait. So basically, the retail game was already on it's way before Sketchpad was considered. I also thought however, that they would indeed release a couple lessons as DLC later on, but I'm not sure.

^ And it`s not like they can`t add something more in the form of paid DLC later on.
If this really goes retail, it will also serv as means to, in the eyes of the public, showcase what Wii U allows you to do.
