Forums - Nintendo Discussion - New Nintendo eShop releases: Chronicles of Mystara, Giana Sisters, Breath of Fire 2 and more!

Glad to see Nintendo understand that releasing software each Thursday on the eShop is not the best idea even when the software is ready. If there were one of the changes Dan Adelman was talking about for the eShop, then keep at it.

Anyway, great line up of new games.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

I recommend Breath of Fire 2 to people.

Really GREAT RPG - dont mind the translation of text - gameplay and storyline overall is good.

I second the recommendation, but if you're going to own an emulated version, then play the GBA version.  The SNES version is really grindy.  You get twice as much EXP and Gold on the GBA version so there's far less grinding.

Oh. So thats why the GBA version was a lot easier for me when I played it on my GBA XD.

I think that makes it better.  I'd rather have well balanced game with the possibility of finishing it with no grinding over a game I have to grind for an hour or two at each boss.

After getting the Twin Bow for Bow, using attack up on him makes him really op.   That's on the SNES version as well, so he's always a permanent character in my party.

Breath of Fire 2 was one of the first games I got for my Wii. Still haven't played it. >_>

I definitely need to get D & D: Chronicles of Mystara.

I should use Bow in a future playthrough.

My usual party consists of Ryu, Nina, Katt and Rand.

I liked using all the characters except Jeanne, but my favorite end game party was Ryu, Bow, Bleu, and Spar.  Though Spar you could switch to another attack character like Rand.  Katt is more powerful than others as a physical attack character, but Dare and her magic is bleh.  Spar is more useful since he/she has attack up, defense up, cure magic, plus you can get the spell Missile from the one magic user you can get in your town(good to give Nina, Ryu, and Spar.)  Rand is also good as a melee character, not as good as Katt or Bow, but he's got the best cure magic in the game and a good amount of MP.

Get Breath of Fire 2 and D&D if you dont have them, but BoF2 if you can only choose 1

Finally the eShop games are showing up on Wii U. Think I'll get Giana Sisters unless I read some bad impressions on the Wii U version.

This is great for Nintendo folks. If you never got to play the D&D games back in the day they are spectacular.
