Microsoft was very much scared to take a risk here, while sony was not.

It happens all the time. Sony didn't want to take risk with Alan Wake either, that's why the game ended up on Microsoft platforms.

What was the risk with Alan Wake?

New IP. Worth investing in it?

im not sure what you are talking about, sony has never ever made a single mistake in its entire history. so your comment kind of makes no sense, just like my username

Oh thought you meant a controversal type risk about the game like with Heavy Rain.

Frankly I'm glad Microsoft turned it down. Heavy Rain was the only PS3 game that I really wanted, and it forced me to purchase a PS3. I'm truly glad I did, would have missed some really great games if this was on the 360.

Is this a post implying that Sony wouldnt take a risk on a new IP worth investing in, in a Heavy Rain/ Quantic Dream thread?

Its even funnier, when you consider the fact that the CEO of Remedy once said the reason it was a 360 (At one point a 360/PC multiplat) exclusive, was because they could keep focus on one platform rather than focus on multiple platforms. It was a technical and business decision to stay 360 exclusive. It had nothing at all to do with Sony "taking a risk".

As for the "news" at hand... This really isnt surprising. Children is a touchy subject when it comes to media, especially one with a reputation like the videogame industry. Cant really blame them for backing out of it, but boy did they drop a bollock. Heavy Rain went on to be a great success and Quantic Dream are now pretty much a Sony 2nd party developer.

It is a post replying a man who said Microsoft don't take risk on a thread about why Heavy Rain was turned down by Microsoft, yeah.
