By good use I mean a use that's not just adding a tiny feature (for example NSMB didn't make use of the DS stuff) and a lot of games are basically GBA games that look better cause they don't use the DS functions.

Just because you can get a PS3 to run as a desktop, doesn't mean it will be better at running software. The cell processor was never designed for that role, it's like putting a square peg in a round hole. On top of that, software emulation is notoriously slow and buggy.

 No but games like Trauma center, Elite Beat agents, advance wars, Nintendogs, Brain Training and the such do use it and use it quite well

I do not think it will wear off because it is interactive.

good example, look at the walk man/I pod, both are a device used for listening to music. The Wii is interactive so I know it will not wear off, look at the old thread about the PS3 with a new patent for the new wireless/interactive device for the PS3. It seems the rest of the video game industry will follow suit.

Bottom line, gaming future will be interactive, I feel these next 4 years will be the glory years of gaming. Just like in the 80's and early nintes(nes) and (Snes)

The analog n 64 controller, when it was in the works, sony said...no no wait wait ....we are making that too!! then the saturn with the analog, Lets take a look at PS3's new mimic of the interactivity. I personally can't wait for sony to come out with it..BUT my PS3 is collecting dust, my wii I havent played in a week or so. Just waiting on games to come out, i already beat zelda/red steel and the rest of em, wii has a nice interactive line up. PS3 well....i like motorstorm but it isnt enough to keep my attention, i was expecting so much more, from the ps3 but looks like I might be selling it so I can at least get some return.Hel my friends wont even buy it. They like their wii's.

You nintendogz are all on this euphoria mentioned. The wiis novelty wore off after the dissapointing end to twighlihgt princess. I have 2 wii games left unbeaten but i shrug them for ps3 demos( i have both thats how i roll). The wii is a fine produc tbut it will slow down like the psp was deemed the early winner where as the ps3 offers a much more satisfying and deep er experience. I have to say u Nintendogz are the most annoying where is Kwaad he is the one that made me want to join this site.

 How do you know the PS3 won't succeed? Can you see the future?

Name one console that was outsold 2:1 (or better) from direct competition in any region for more than a month that became the leading platform?

 Is not leading a failure? Also, does history only repeat itself? Name one console that costs as much as the PS3 and is a mainstream console.

The sales of the PS3 won't follow the sales trends of previous consoles because of its initial price...
