Good question. I didn't think of this problem. I think they have to do the reference preset story thingy since I doubt you could move save files over from PS360 to PS4Xbone. On PC it shouldn't be a problem though.

What platform will you play it on? PS4 here.

I guess is EA and Activision will cling onto current gen till 2015.

Hopefully, PS4 (won't be buying a next gen until well into next year, let them iron out the kinks/get some games on them). Then again, unlike Mass Effect my DA play throughs are a bit of a mess, none are jsut perfectly good or bad more just all 'go with the flow' as DA choices aren't so black and white. But my DA2 play throughs are more like that. Would be nice to carry those choices over (what choices there were, stupid Anders).

Those wont be the number of active members when the game releases. If you own a PS3 and a PS4 and have the option to buy it on either one, why would you buy it on PS3 when you can get a better version for the same price? Same with X1 and 360. Yes some people wont be upgrading but if this is a 2014 release I would guess an install base of 30 million for both next gen console and that will cut down the number of PS3/360 users that buy the game. Not a large number compared to 150 but its still a decent number of players

One thing I am curious about is how much if any these cross gen games will hurt sales of next gen consoles. Games like GTA5 not being on either is one less reason to upgrade but that is a different topic for another day when we see if actually amounts to anything

First, misunderstanding of what the Dragon Age developer guy was trying to say. Obviously he meant that PS360 graphics will be subpar to nextgen and PC, but since X360 is the standard console of current gen in the minds of many his words slipped and he didn't add "PS3" until the end of the sentence. These guys don't give a rats ass about which current gen version looks better than the other, to them it's all the same. Their mind and focus is set on the nextgen. It's funny that people are so weak at reading people socially, that somebody actually made an article out of this.

Second, Dragon Age Inquisition will obviously sell much much more on next gen consoles than on PS360. It's so obvious. By late 2014 and 2015 when this game will get the majority of its sales current gen game sales will have dropped very low, just like PS2 game sales did back in 2007 and 2008. It's really all that needs to be said.

I think they might pull a Mass Effect with comic book decisions, linking up your playthrough from the first and second game or just the second.
