I do remember Bioware also stating that they would be offering a more PC-oriented UI for the PC version of the game, so maybe that could have been a culprit for the confusion.

Actually no. I'd be willing to bet that the current gen versions will actually make MORE money than the next gen versions. The install base is significantly larger on current gen over next gen therefore more possible sales. Look at GTA V. It's preorder numbers are larger than ALL the preorders for both nextgen consoles COMBINED! It would be foolish not to release on all consoles concurrently.

 

As for the 'news' that the 360 version won't look as nice as the other versions... No one should be surprised by this. When developers actually take the time to leverage the power and resources of the PS3 games will look better than the 360. And we know PC and next gen consoles would look better. They must look better if they want to sell any copies on those platforms lol.

or.. you just have a PC and not buy anything except the game.. you could do that too.. :P

I don't deny releasing on all console could make more money however I just feel it might hinder development. I've given my reasons before. This game isn't out this November, it's out next November and will likely be one of the biggest games on the new consoles and PC, it'll get the sales regardless.

And GTA5? Really? The biggest game franchise around vs consoles costing 10 times as much? Yeah not a great comparison there.

While I'd like that, my PC isn't powerful enough. I could get it, might look a bit shit though.

The bar is being raised. the support will drop for current gen consoles as the brands re-establish themselves for the next gen after the first year. Hmmmm....third party are really hungry for more powerful tech to make games the way they want them. Looks like I was right, this is going to be a quick sweep. Luckily the game is coming out later rather than sooner. The PS4 and Xbone should've gathered enough marketshare to give this game decent sales. 

Well, that and....well...the dragon in that picture looks terrible.

Well, i was planning to get the PS3 versions anyways.

 

AAnd for those that were blissfully oblivious, this game was announced for the 360 and PS3 before it was announced to PS4 and X1. Someone wasnt really paying atention huh? :p

Considering Biowares track record, i doubt this game will look better on PS3 then on 360

That looks so fantastic. Not just graphically but the whole Dragon Age experience. What an amazing series.

I can't wait. I get such strong cravings now that I think I'm gonna go back and make another Origins character.

Hmm, which makes me wonder, new generation on new consoles, do you think they will make it some way for you to copy across your saves to the new gen? Or maybe because DA2 choices did little to the actual story they'll just carry on? Make reference to things by a preset story choice, like at the start of DA2.
