Long as it says on the box: "From the creators of Heavy Rain" then I doubt it will have any chance of down right bombing. Will it be an incredible, run away success? Probably not.

Well not only Beyond 2 souls has the usual fierce holiday competition with COD, fifa, battlefields, etc...

But this holiday is also the launch of 2 anticipated hardware, and let's not forget GTA V.

 With so much competition and so late in the gen I'm pessimistic, but I hope i'm wrong and that Beyond will quickly crack 1 million sales.

Heavy Rain was somewhat of a novelty, great experience but there really isn't much lasting appeal and a lot of people where not impressed by the story. Beyond will surely do a lot worse.

All of the people saying this game will bomb certainly have not seen the sales of Heavy Rain yet. They want the game to fail.

I dont, I love Heavy Rain, its contender for my favorite game this generation. And yeh it sold great, Im just not seeing as much hype for this game as I would like.

 Sony is really failing to get the hype out there for this game. You're right about that.

probably a first week like heavy rain, maybe just a bit below it.
But sony won't let it bomb. If the game needs more sales they can just release a GOTY edition on the ps4

I think the game gets a lot of negativity....
An inside war happened with the actors saying that Ellie from Tlou shared too many similarities with Ellen.
Also the story of the game is much more shrouded in mystery since it exploits the afterlife with paranormal effects unlike Heavy rain which had more of a kidnapping/killer theme. it was more straightforward.
Reviews will help this game more than heavy rain if they are positive

I think it will do less than Heavy Rain FW. Those 500k were insane for such a game. But then it'll probably have better legs until end of 2013. One million at least. After that it'll probably fail to reach the sales of HR liftetime, maybe 1.5m.

Beyond's sales I think will be very much dependent on its reviews at this point. Its just been putting too many doubts in ppl's heads due to the erratic nature of the story. This has ppl worried. If it reviews well, tho, ppl will realize there was never reason to worry and it will solidify trust in David Cage as someone who only makes quality games.
