I do not know what are the capabilities (I guess I can just Bing for it) of the touch panel on the DS4 but I agree that with this + all the other improvement will make it interresting. Pretty sure the indies will find very good ways to use that :)

I actually found that for platformers (using the d-pad) the PS controller in general is better and even if I'm not a fighting game lover I can easily understand why the PS controller would be better for that kind of game. The one thing I dislike very much about the Xbox 360 controller... And I'm a bit ashamed because it is mainly my fault, is that when I'm in the action, I ALWAYS end up click on the stick (by mistake) :)

Don't feel bad, I always hated it when clicked on the 360 analog sticks during FPS games. It's f'n annoying. I also hated it when my thumb slips off of the controller (because of its positioning above and I hit the Xbox symbol in the middle) and the Xbox Option screen came up. LOL Besides that it was the current gens best controller all things considered. Both controllers will be great, the possibilities for indy games with the DS4 is going to be so sick though. I hope people actually use it. Sony makes such underrated tech that never comes to use because they never advertise it. For example, people take for granted the awesome six axis motion aiming for the guided shot attacks in Heavenly Sword.

That's now a thing?

lol come on :)

Yah I'm doing my part for the all mighty Microsoft, they need help on that front ahah

More good news for DualShockers.

What the hell is rumble triggers...I've asked people already and I don't feel like looking them up lol. Is it just triggers that vibrate?? I don't see why people are making such a big deal out of them =/

I told you in the other thread lol.

Basically from what I hear it's similar to the haptic feedback that is on smartphones (of varying degrees). I think that there's a video in one of the links I posted that went in depth about how the feedback in the triggers (and now I found out that there's feedback in the thumbsticks as well) was like.

I didn't know you told me...I was waiting for the blue thing in my VGChartz buddy. Haven't visited the thread since I asked

This is off topic.

Also, the Xbox One controller has the same support I believe. The new Turtle Beach headsets connect directly to the controller for both microphone and game audio. At least that's what I got from the quick review of their description. I could be wrong. Only spent a few minutes looking at it for now.

Shame about the sticks not being fully convex anymore. I don't care what people say, if they didn't like them or their thumbs were slipping, then they are holding it wrong.

Off topic? What the best place to post a new reveled feature than a thread related to Dual Shock 4 thread lol.

Xbox One controller didn't have a normal headphones support... you need to buy a new Xbox One compatible... the port is proprietary.

Some GAFers at PAX that played BF4 on PC with Xbox One controller give more impressions...

Significantly.

I'd say DS4 = X360

DS3 = XB1

In terms of comfort.

Indeed. It's a longer reach due to the curvature of the controller and the placement of the apex of the trigger. It's less of a trigger pull and more of a full-finger squeeze. It felt awkward.

No complaints about the bumpers. They felt pretty much the same as the 360.

DS4. The warm softness of the DS4 build material outweighs the stick placement of the 360 controller.

It was great the way it was. From the impressions I've read, the bumpers are harder to hit, it's harder to feel the difference between the bumpers and triggers (since they bleed into each other), the triggers have less travel and resistance (making them feel worse to pull). Such a shame.

More soon... I'm trying to get some impression from a VGCharter here ;)

Now what we need to do is compare the amount of negative opinions about the X1 controller (remember, no matter how good something is, there will always be people that don't like it for whatever reason) to the amount of positive opinions about the X1 controller. A pretty impossible task, sure, but I'm fairly certain most would agree that the X1's controller has had an overall, positive reception.

The difference was that the positive opinions was at E3 from site at closed doors... now the negative opinions started after GamesCom with real gamers sharing informations and the press having full access to the play with it.

Most impressions says the layout fell good in the hand... the issues starting playing with it.

Maybe you are right but there are something weird.

PS. I didn't even said yet in this forum that he games at GamesCom looked worst than what they showed at E3: Ryse, Forza, etc.. because everybody here thinks I'm just trolling.
