I don't see knack being a massive seller, Driveclub you get a gimped version with psn plus, so what game do you pick up? Killzone going to have a huge follow on from this. Also sales of killzone 3 are massive under track on here from Europe.

Interesting poll I must say. I can't decide myself.

So many factors play into this. Often launch titles have really long legs. I bet Resistence Fall of Man sold at least 3 million despite questionable quality.

Xbox guys love shooters but this time around some of them will be gaming on a Playstation instead, or holding out for a price drop.

And Titanfall in itself, it's a new IP, but also a very hyped one and looks somewhat innovative and will get great reviews. And anotehr complicating factor is that it's not a true exclusive. Not only comes it on PC too, but by release time most people might assume a PS4 version is just around the corner. So it's harder to predict how it will perform on XBone lifetime.

But then the competition in shooters is tougher than ever. Battlefield has grown bigger and bigger, COD is still as big as it ever was, and by the time Titanfall is about to release there will be massive hype for Destiny.

Lifetime KZ because of the unit advantage of the PS4 worldwide...

But are we comparing the first week sales or the life time sales?

If life time sales, I will say Titanfall.
If first week sales, then I will say Killzone because PS4 released in more countries than XB1.

About Killzone having the advantage because PS4 will sell more than Xbox One...

According to VGChartz the only exclusives on PS2 that beat Halo:CE saleswise is Gran Turismo 3/4 and FF X, despite the original Xbox selling WAY less than the PS2.

And about the preorders...

Titanfall doesn't have a release date, it will release next year. We can't see Destiny or Halo either in the preorder-chartz but we all know that these two games will sell bigtime. And I can't remember, when did K:SF enter the top 40? I think Titanfall will have more preorders 12 weeks to launch.

Killzone, since it comes out first. Has singleplayer and multiplayer. PS4 is likely to sell better than X1 as well. And finally, it is an established franchise.

Titanfall is completely new and is multiplayer only so may find it harder to succeed

Xbox One, PS4 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch will sell better than Wii U Lifetime Sales by Jan 1st 2018

I feel people overestimated titanfall

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Killzone. It is exclusive so non of its sales are going to be taken by other platforms, plus its going to be releasing on the more successful console. higher install base to sell to.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

Titanfall, because it is going to later so the playerbase will be larger. Shadowfall's sales should probably dry up by the release of Titanfall

They're only like 4 months apart! Killzone won't be replaced as the goto tech demo game on the PS4 for a bit longer. Second Son might take away some of that, but I reckon Killzone will sell as "the best looking game on the system" until Naughty Dog show up

It's slated currently for Q1 2014. Isn't that March at earliest, and IGN has it as Q2. So it seems it should come out around late April or May which is six months and although KZ is a launch game, it doesn't really have much legs as a series. They are decent holding about 20k until about Christmas of their launch year but I'm expecting weaker legs since its launching around christmas time and it would blow most of its sales at launch at higher initial sales  than its predecessors but topping out somewhere between 1.5 & 2 million in the spring.  This isn't accounting for if they make it a PS+ game which would certainly put it above Titanfall.

Titanfall has the benefit of being enomorously hyped, being praised all around, a famous pedigree of developers behind it and a larger marketing campaign availble since it's being called the new CoD killer. They are also going to mostly market the XBONE version overall with only mentions that its coming to 360. Also the number of Xbones at its release will be greater than PS4 at launch and will be a launch title for a number of countries. They are probably follow similar sales curves but the Titanfall curve should be larger.

So if it is slated for Q1 2014, that means March at the latest, it is logical to think it will release in March.

Killzone 3 sold 2.5m, but it seems to missing European numbers, 180k seems on the very low side.

What I am saying is that people will keep buying it because it is the best looking game on the system, so that it will be get extra sales that it wouldn't otherwise get. Being a PS+ game will hurt not help, since I assume this "battle" is for physical copies only and being on PS+ would kill that

Are you saying that there will be more Xbox Ones when TItanfall launches compared to the number of PS4s when Killzone launches? What I have been trying to say is that Killzone will be the PS4's default launch title for a while. There won't be that many released after launch, though by Q1 more should be coming. Killzone will still be the best looking game on the system and the best one to show to off your new console which will ensure it sells well.

Having said that, I do think Titanfall will sell more, I just don't quite agree with your reasoning. I think it will be a lot closer than you are suggesting because I think Killzone will sell a lot more than you expect, but I just expect Titanfall to keep selling for a while since it is the main reason to get an Xbox One
