I'm buying it for:

Uncharted 4, The Last of Us 2, God of War IV, InFamous:Second Son, The Order 1886.... but yeah, Killzone looks pretty awesome too

Wii killed them because 

1) It was the first next gen console on the market

2) The technology was new, whereas Kinect 2 is not new it's just improved.

3) It was always the cheapest next gen console on the market.

Microsoft has none of these things. It's not the first next gen console out, it's not new technology and it's not the cheapest on the market and it won't be for a while (if ever).

There is no arguing with die hard fanboys on either side especially Sony ones. If you really think that Kinect 2 is just an update from Kinect One you have not been paying attention. There is a reason why they wont gimp the Xbox and sell a version without it. If the do then the have nothing more then an underpowered PC thats moe powerful then their last gen. Basically what Sony has at the moment. This is why I'm angry at Sony. They should have included their camera with every system sold. Instead they gimped it and left it out. So when I get 3rd party titles I will pick them up for my Xbox rather then PS4 because I want the voice/motion option in every game I play. Other then some neat exclusives PS4 will have that I want to own they really dont have anything innovative going for them. Sorry guy but its the cold hard truth. Either way I will continue to buy every console Sony makes regardless how I feel because thats just how I roll. 


Kinect was a casual trend, and one that DIED. It's dead, let it go. The casual bubble popped a few years ago. The people who snatched up Kinect (which was far, far less than the people who snatched up a Wii) all have iphones and ipads and aren't coming back. This gen, it's back to the core. That's why these pre orders are turning out the way they are. Alot of the 360 gamers, myself included, have switched sides.

Hmmm, the Killzone: Shadow Fall sales are stunning to me. Killzone 3 sold way less copies than Killzone 2 on the PS3, thought the franchise would continue struggling. Evidently, being on par with CoD should mean it will be a real system seller. These are also USA only numbers, anyone mind linking me Europe numbers? Those should be even more favourable for Sony.

And Titanfall hasn't even a release month (and is also on two other platforms, unlike Infamous) but some Sony fans still made fun of its X1 preorder numbers (in this other thread about the same topic). Also: If I was a Playstation or Sony fan (I'm not, I'm just a PS3 owner), I'd be worried about the fact that my most favorite platform has turned from a platforming/RPG system into a FPS/TPS dominated system in just one gen.

I'd not be worried if i were you...

Look for that thread from JayWood2010 of sales on the 7th gen and you will notice -shock- that PS3 was also dominated by shooters. So i don't see the surprise here... 

If this kind of lead continues, the only difference will be the sales from the PS4 version of the games will slightly (or in some cases considerably) sell better than their X1 counterparts (or rather, what happenned this gen with X360 vs PS3)
