Forums - Sony Discussion - Concerning Fact - Sony has yet to show anything running on an actual PS4

From Scott Lowe, the executive editor of IGN, because I like vague thread titles.

Although...

Yep, devkits. Doh!

So we should be concerned that Sony arent using actual PS4 systems. Theyre showing games running on PS4 devkits, which arent PS4s, but are like PS4s, but arent PS4s. This isnt right. This is dishonorable. Public sudoku, hangings, preorder cancels. Hit them where it hurts, people. Buy Vita's!

And yes I did steal everything from GAF thanks for asking.

the ghost of VGChartz has spoken.

What I get he is saying the PS4 case is different from the real one... like it is bigger than the real one, so DevKits.

I asked some questions to him in twitter... I will post here if I get any reply.

Well, to be honest. Back at the Xbox One reveal, Wired was able to actually take a picture of the Xbox One motherboard, as it sat inside the Xbox One case, with all the other components around it.

We've never seen the PS4 opened up, or it's motherboard.

Another attention whore.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

I guess it must be important if the VGC Ghost is talking.

Maybe it's just me, but this is important how? I mean, maybe there's some supply issues and some last minute changes, but nothing major I don't think.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

The ghost has spoken =o

Not sure, Driveclub sounded like it ran badly enough to be on either PS4 or a devkit really similar (performance speaking).

I would assume the implication is that because the devkit is larger and the games have not been shown playing on a stock PS4 yet that the size of the console they showed may have been over ambitiously small and this will cause problems perhaps with overheating.

That said I don't recall if any prelaunch showings have ever been on stock consoles.

...

This is sad journalism... why not confirm it rather than speculating on it?

Edit: NVM... I did not saw his updated tweet at the end.

I don't know, we heard different things from other people.

Anyway, I would be concerned if they wouldn't announce a release date, of course it's not set in stone, but it pretty much is and releasing it even remotely faulty would be suicidal.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!
