There is no exclusive relationship, Nintendo just financed two games that noone else wanted to finance. And how can anyone be surprised that W101 is bombing, the demo was underwhelming to say the least

Wiiu from the looks of it wont have price cut this year. And it will be overtaken by at least PS4 in 2014.  And its games are failing.

Sorry, but unlike platform apologists, I see the the FAIL when it happens. Vita was failing at the start of the year, but it has bounced back. And it wasnt as bad as Wii U is now. Wii U will die soon enough (in terms of any meaningful support with respect to other consoles), with the final nail being put in when either PS4 or X1  crosses it in sales.

Also, nice support for Wii U and downplaying Vita. Your comments clearly show you preferences.

I'm starting to think having Mario 3D World this year over Mario Kart 8 is a big mistake. The Wii U already has a 4-player Mario platformer and it's not able to keep the system from sinking, so why have a second holiday where another 4-player Mario platformer is your go to title? This system is just a clusterf++k of terrible planning.

Mario 3D World and Wii Fit U should be next year, Mario Kart 8 and Wii Sports U should be this holiday.

I concede all I checked were Lego City numbers relatively. And boy, is it depressing. I was expecting 15-20k as you know, and even though I thought that was a bit...optimistic, I never expected it to be quite this bad. This and Yakuza makes me worry about the future of the system for anything other than established franchises. And that's concerning.

To this Dragon guy, now. I'm unsure of what you're saying. That boost was over 200% increase if I remember correctly. If that's not good, I don't know what is. I'm also unsure what you mean "as expected". I'm hardly praising the Wii U and downplaying the Vita, but I will point out facts that I view as incorrect, regardless of which system that regards. I've celebrated the Vita in the past with it's recent fortunes in Japan, but this week is not like those past weeks, is it? 

Taken by itself, you have 2 new games and a price cut, and it comes out as less than 1k up YoY. That's concerning, and I can't mask that fact.

I agree. Although from a consumer point of view, having a better Mario Kart is good for me, but yeah from a sales perspective I don't see why they'd try 3D Mario over Mario Kart. It's the game which, for me, changed the 3DS' fortunes. Not Super Mario 3D Land.

Guess we'll see.
