No, it wasn't that hard, but alot harder than today's Mario. That's all I was saying. |
You can insert name of any game in there and it would be true.

Which, again, shows why today's so called "real gamers" are wrong to hate on Nintendo. Nintendo titles like Pikmin 3, NSMBU (I promise you, 90% of gamers that beat Uncharted couldn't beat this game), or Donkey Kong Country Returns won't stand a chance. Nintendo's titles require some actual skill to reach the end credits. They aren't hand holding cinematic affairs. Just because they don't feature adult themes, they're labeled as lesser games.

For the most part you're right. I just recently beat Kid Icarus on my NES and holy crap did I feel like I achieved something lol. You just don't get that feeling anymore with most games, or at least I don't.
RolStoppable said: Level 9-6 is a beast. The game is harder than SMB3, but there are obviously people who think of the time when they were kids and playing SMB3, and then compare that to playing NSLU as an adult. But anyway, the good thing is that NSLU hits the right tones and isn't a rubbish Mario game like The Lost Levels. You never think: "Wow, now this is just terrible level design." |
The thing that I absolutely love about this level is that once you know how best to do it, it's actually not that hard. I almost can't die on it now.
That's not to say that I didn't lose an ass-load of lives learning how.
