Just a side note I haven't played NSMBU yet because there's just other games higher on my list so that could contribute to why I think its so hard, but I've played a lot of the 2D Mario games so it shouldn't be that big of a factor.

So I picked up the game today because the physical copy finally came out and my god its hard.  I'm not saying its hard for a Mario game, no its really hard.  First off you only have 100 seconds to complete each stage, so if your like me and want to get all the gold star coins then you have to be really quick about it.  Next I hate Luigi's jump, I can't get used to it after playing with Mario's jump for so long.  Also with Luigi he doesn't stop quick like Mario, he literally keeps sliding for another second, making accurate jumping even harder.  Also this isn't like 3D Land where you can store an item and use it later in the stage if you want, you can only use stored items in the map menu, which makes it a lot harder.  Don't get me wrong, I'm having fun with the game, its just kicking my ass.  So what do you guys think about the game?

Certainly more challenging than the main game.

Need to use a quick jump with Luigi to handle precision / stopping.

Love the game. Had the DLC version since it launched and while my kids (9 and 10) could beat the NSMBWii and NSBMU, they find this one too hard for their tastes. Granted, they little wussies use the green box all the time with the exception of beating bosses. I never use any of that crap.

Me and my friends completed it in about 3 days (5 player and we spammed blocks) But on my own I'm stuck on the snow world. However I have only just completed the NSMBU and that took about 6 months. :( This was my first mario platformer since having a NES.

Why won't they keep it as a digital download?  I believe it is available like that now.

I assume he means the retail copy. 

Brutal? No, that's 100%ing Super Meat Boy. Luigi U isn't even as hard as SMB3.
