Yeah, Yakuza series is fairly big in Japan so if this is a launch title then Sony got all big regions covered.

Yakuza have a dedicated fanbase after all so there is no fear of losing them when jumping to the next PS system.

Well, they couldn't have been more obvious about this one!

Can't see them making it for launch though; if launch is indeed happening this year. It's only been a year since Yakuza 5.

Maybe it's cross-gen too.

Still, looking forward to this conference.

Dengeki PlayStation this week has new details on Yakuza: Ishin. The platform is still unannounced, but we’ll likely hear about that come Sony’s September 9 press conference. Find the full lot of new information below.

1. The answer to the famous question of how Sakamoto Ryoma dies will be revealed in this game.
2. You’ll play in Tosa during the prologue, but the majority of the game is set in Kyoto.
3. Kyoto is completely remade and not pulled from Yakuza: Kenzan.
4. Kyoto’s cityscape will appear similar to modern day Kyoto.
5. Some people will be wearing western clothes, and there will be actual foreigners, too.
6. The focus is on making the game more JRPG-fun than any other. Series producer Toshihiro Nagoshi wants to bring the type of RPG he finds personally enjoyable back to Japan, so this is a chance to take on that challenge. They’re putting in a lot of RPG elements, like strengthening yourself in town and upgrading your weapons.
7. You’ll use a gun and sword in combat. There are a variety of types.
8. The battle system aims to be the deepest and most exhilarating in the series.
9. The game will be balanced so you can’t proceed easily unless you level up both yourself and your weapons.
10. The genre is action adventure to the end.
11. It promises to be the most intense production in Yakuza series history.
12. You will never hear the name Kazuma Kiryu. There are no tattoos on the back of the two characters he plays.
13. The max level is 99. There are an unthinkable number of weapons.
14. Taiga Saejima will play Nagakura Shinpachi.

Can't wait to wait for it to never leave Japan.

If it's on PS4 or Vita, I'd say it has much better chance than Yakuza 5.

Looking more interesting now.

I want to be excited but I just don't want to bring myself up to be brought down to the fact that it will most likely never leave Japan.
