Everything they showed at the press conference was 2013/2014.

Games get delayed but Halo isn't usually one of them, in fact I don't think it's ever been delayed in its history. They run a right ship.

None of the Halo games (not including the "spin offs") have released within a 2 year period of one another. Halo 4 just launched in 2012, I doubt we will see another one in November 2014 (making it a 2 year dev cycle).

From Halo Wiki - "Spencer also clarified in an interview with IGN that while the next-gen game was not Halo 5, it was a "legitimate" entry in the game series rather than a spin-off"

  Halo: Combat Evolved - November 15, 2001
  Halo 2 - November 9, 2004
  Halo 3 - September 25, 2007                                                                                                                                                                           Halo 4 - March 13 2012

Maybe 343 have a much bigger studio than Bungie and can pull it off, but I doubt we will see that Halo game in 2014. It was used more of a way to reassure people that a Halo game is coming to the Xbox One.

Well yes, they have, Halo Reach 2010, Halo 4 2012. Different studios though I admit.

Regardless, they said everything is 2014 in their E3 press conference so it's 2014, even if it isn't a full blown Halo.

They obviously have the perfect combo planned for September 2014, Halo + Price cut.

You need to stop assuming and go with what we know, they don't need to reassure anyone Halo is coming, it's pretty obvious.

Wikipedia said Halo Reach was a spin off which is why I didn't include it. I don't know anything about the Halo storyline I'm using the Halo Wiki lolz. Also they said all the games they showed were releasing in 2013/2014? I never heard that in the conference.

It is an impressive launch lineup like the Wii U's was considered impressive. However it might have problems relying on 3rd partys (which Wii U did not have) throughout 2014 until the holidays. PS4's launch lineup is decent and at least one 1st party is in early Q1 2014. And The Order 1886 will probably be set in Q2 or Q3 with new games from SSM or ND around Q4.

Overall seems to me like Q4 2013: MS>Sony
Q1 2014: Sony= or > MS
Q2-3 2014: Sony>MS
Q4 2014: Sony= MS

However another thing that will hurt MS in Q4 2013 is launch countries.

Q1 for PS4 has Infamous, what else?

X1 has Kinect Sports Rivals, Titanfall and Project Spark.

Beyond that I have no idea when their other games are launching.

Yup, Halo Reach was a prequel but it's considered a main game with the same budget/timeframe.

Given this isn't Halo 5 it's even less surprising it's coming 2014.

And yeah they did.

I'm not being in denial. I just didn't know when it was releasing. Maybe if you have provided a link where it said 2014 I wouldn't have said otherwise. Lmfao.

After the things i heard about Killer instinct and Ryse, i dont think they have such a good line-up anymore.

I didn't need to, all of the games they announced at E3 are 2013/2014! :)

Ryse just needs some more time for the devs to polish the game. The same was said for Knack and Drive Club and the Gamescom demo's look so much better than the E3 games. Ryse seems like an ambitious game with the graphics and whatnot, Crytek just needs some more time to fix the bugs.
