Forums - Gaming Discussion - Forza 5 vs Gran Turismo 6: What will Score higher this year?

Hard to say, but for some reason I'm thinking Forza 5. The next gen beefyness will definitely get people going. And I've been most impressed with it as a next gen racer when compared to the other racing games I've seen so far.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

Forza will win for a couple of reasons.

Next gen bonus.

Arcadey racing is generally more fun than Sim racing.

Oh stop it you lol.

You know its true. A more arcade style is simply more accessible and thus, more fun. Its forgiving and easy to get into.

Ive always seen Forza as middle ground between Arcade and Sim. It hits it perfectly.

Polyphony Digital can/should take pointers. Making GT more accessible to the mass market would make the games even more popular.

”The environment where PlayStation wins is best for this industry” (Jack Tretton, 2009)

Forza Horizon is not made by Turn 10 its made by Playground Games and Turn 10 only had a small supporting role in its development so it shouldn't be on the game list for Turn 10 games.

Forza, new gen vs generation fatigue alone will push Forza ahead of GT unless Forza is horrid which i doubt it will be

Forza 5 will be in the low 90s and GT6 will be in the high 80s.

I understand this but they still did work on it so I cant exclude it either.  I tried keeping it as fair as possible and even though it wasnt only turn 10 they still did work on it.

I'm pretty sure Playground Games did over 80% percent of the work on Forza Horizion.  If Turn 10 would have helped a lot then a day and night cycle would have made an appearance in Forza 5.  From what I have heard Turn 10 only helped out with the car models and some of the DLC cars this also explains why most of the DLC cars in Forza Horizon are also in Forza 4.

Okay Jay just take out Forza Horizon. He seems frustrated that you're including it.

He can keep it in but technically its not a Turn 10 game.  I liked the game a lot it might not be one of the best racing games this gen but it is one of the most fun racing games this gen both online (especially infected and king mode) and offline.

Making it more accessible wouldnt take away whats currently there, it would add something extra.

Forza does this right.

It doesn't. Having infinite rewinds removes any challenge and tension from the game. Yes, I know you can disable it to earn more credits, but what's the point when you receive more cars than you can use and upgrades for free?
