Zorg you are a prophet!

Haha I take it u like my prediction?

It needs to be done. Although we'd better start wearing wrist straps on our gamepads.

Idk about u but I wear wrist straps for everything. Gaming, eating, texting, masturbating (u dont want to lose grip and accidently throw ur dick at the wall)

I honestly think they said it will support 2 gamepads only to stop the bitching... having another gamepad will cut the performance by half so unless they are gonna magically teleport better CPU/GPU in our wiiU's, I dont see that happening

If you're talking about streaming a graphics-intensive game to two gamepads (and the TV) then sure.

But think about something simpler than that like a board game or a game show type affair; something that doesn't rely on complex graphics but instead relies on asymmetrical gameplay.

It'd be cool to have something where four people are playing in two teams - each team with one person using a Wii remote and the other using a Gamepad. The Wii remote users are competing with each other on the TV while their respective teammates have their own view of something on their gamepads and effect the action to help them win.

Considering Nintendo designed their entire console around the Gamepad concept I can't imagine that they haven't thought of ideas like this for games.

Thats never happened to u?

Nintendo will probably make one good game that makes use of two Gamepads, and I agree with the person who said a $99 Wii Sports U/Gamepad bundle or maybe a Wii Play U/Gamepad bundle for $99 being likely titles that could make use of such a thing. Other than that though, Nintendo won't make any other games where that's a focal point because it's too expensive to ask customers to buy a 2nd Gamepad. Same reason third parties won't ever make games that support 2 Gamepads.

And to be honest, at the moment games that support two Gamepads are the LEAST of Nintendo's concerns. First they've gotta get through this holiday season and hopefully gain some sales and momentum that they can carry into next year and fuel even more growth with a price cut and the release of Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. Here's hoping they can pull it off. If they can't, then Wii U will basically wind up being another Gamecube...a system deserted by third parties, with sluggish/anemic sales, but which barely stays afloat through a solid/strong slate of first party titles. At least 3DS and Pokemon will keep them profitable for the foreseeable future, regardless of the Wii U outcome.

Upcoming Games To Get

Definite: Kirby Star Allies (Switch), Mario Tennis Aces (Switch), Fire Emblem (Switch), Yoshi (Switch), Pokemon (Switch), Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4), Monster Hunter World (PS4)

Considering: Fe (Switch), Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Switch), The World Ends With You (Switch), Ys VIII (Switch), Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (PS4), Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Remix (PS4), The Last Guardian (PS4), Shadow of the Colossus HD (PS4), Anthem (PS4), Shenmue 3 (PS4), WiLD (PS4)

I am with this one. Besides even if the performance of the Wii U was good enough, I think 2 Gamepads are unnecessary. It sounds like a nice idea at first, but there will only be very few games, which could be better with more screens.

I really hope that Nintendo uses their resources better and starts to support the one gamepad better, they already have, and not waste their resources to fullfill stupid wishes of some internet-vocal fans.

If Nintendo can sell 40m video game balance boards, they can sell a gaming tablet.

we're all very used to 30fps so no body would mind. it's really a matter of getting the attach rate high enough.

Are you saying the gamepads are usually 30fps?  Or that the games on the TV for the Wii U have been usually 30 fps?

I read somewhere that two Wii U gamepads running different images would cut a 60fps game down to 30fps on each screen. But I think that's not a big deal. I'm fine with it.

I emailed Nintendo about the second gamepad. Nintendo emailed me back basically saying when there are games to support it. Developers will support a second gamepad into their games when it is available. So looking at it they way I say never.
