summer fall update can´t come soon enough !

Two-thirds of September are still summer! They can still make their deadline!

Please Nintendo, can we have that update soon? I'm just really curious about it, because I expect it to be more than a simple UI improvement.

cause of the disaster that is known as greenlight it won't surprise me if the PS4 and xbox one publishing is easier then steam

Blame the garbage Greenlight program for that.

I'm still waiting for this one RPG that was greenlit months ago.........>_>.

Which games this?

The Greenlight program is really that bad, I heard a lot of good things about it.

When's that new update supposed to come out for the Wii U? That could fix some of these problems.

Base on reliable sources, this update is suppose to be 10x bigger then the Spring update, adding new features and boost the proformances of the systems, same wih the 3DS. Leak info from Emily Roger, the 3DS and Wii U will connect with one another similar to the Vita and PS3/4. Nintendo secretly said that they plan to to heavily market the Wii U after the big update is release.

But someone told me yesterday that many games wouldn´t come to Nintendo because they are awful and incredibly passive...

but "Nystrom also criticised Wii U for its user interface"...huh?

From this article:

"As for increasing sales, the eShop and the entire Wii U's user interface is pretty bad and discourages use in many ways. There are way too many unnecessary steps in everything you want to do, be it buy a game or post on the Miiverse. And between each step, the loading times are just horrible. For me, this is the biggest disappointment really. I was hoping for something fresher. Sony is going for "immediacy" with the PlayStation 4, and Nintendo should really follow suit there. Nintendo doesn't seem to realize that it’s much more important that these things are just right."

The gist of it is that he says the eShop is messy and too inconvenient to navigate and the loading times are still too long. And he's right. Nintendo really needs to work on their digital storefront.

Fully agreed.

Honestly, it feels like pretty much every digital storefront could use some serious design improvements. Even super successful ones like Amazon and iTunes.

The problem with Steam greenlight is that if you don't get enough publicity there's no way your game is going to be publish on Steam. That's why the games that get in there are the ones that were extremely big during the Kickstarter campaign (if there was one) or had a big push on gaming websites.

So if you are not popular enough you have zero chances to put your game on Steam, that's basically how it works.

The reason why that's not released is because the port isn't done. That isn't steams fault at all.

But yeah, if ye really want it then buy it on PS3.

Nintendo has really done a great job recently with indies. I look forward to working with them someday.
