Easy to keep consistent when you haven't changed anything....

A pathetic commentary in my opinion. So ps4's 30+ exclusives are 90% indie games? I was expecting at least one AAA game reveal. Not saying indie games are bad just really disappointed at the conference.

Sony has many unnounced projects which was told in the conference itself and they kept those to reveal in other shows like TGS and VGA. Even if they annouce now those games are not going to coming this year so its best to keep them and announce later to users have something to get excited and those games are from SS, MM and ND so its going to be great games.

Sony wanted games to be innovative which is only possible with Indie so they gave importance in gamescom .

i'm sure they have unannounced games but they should have at least shown a big title from a euro studio. It was a horrible conference and the same for MS, very boring but at least they showed a fable game.

I expect better for TGS.

E3 was funny and deserved,

But MS indeed shifted their message and MS did it in a good way, I rather feel as a gamer I should applaud them for shifting rather making fun of them so I felt rather sad for Sony doing this. Sony for sure shifted their message in the past aswell and going from a online will be always free to now also behind a paywall is a shift I don't like.

IIRC Sony never stated that online play would always be free on playstation ecosystem...

Do you have a source for this statment ?

microsoft could have done it right from the start but they didn't.  and that is why sony seem to be pulling ahead early. sony made mistakes early last gen and it took them years to recover.

They're just lucky Microsoft didn't implement some of the changes 1 or 2 years ago or both their E3 and Gamescom conferences would have been very underwhelming.  The biggest things to come out of E3 for Sony was their lack of DRM that Xbox One had at the time and that it's $100 cheaper.  For Gamescom it's all about timed exclusive indie games.  If Microsoft would have announced a $100 pricecut Sony would have pretty much lost every advantage they had going for them this year and would be eaten alive when Titanfall drops.

but they didn't? and that is why they are where they are.. sony didn't get lucky, they said the right things and made the right moves. that is why they appear to be winning early on.

Thats the only thing Sony can do. Big talk like always. Microsoft won today.

With what exactly?

Bashing Xbox One at every freaking event, it gets boring.

And? Were they not right? Did they not abandon Indy devs? You act like its not true.

Rime, Everybody's gone to rupture, Shadow of the beast and Minecraft are better than the promise of timed exclusive DLCs.

Just two years. Every year they outsold the 360 except for one year, which is why now they're tied.

how the world has shifted since the PS3 Slim release back in 2009. Xbox fans didn't care much since they were leading and were sure to finish the gen in 2nd place while Sony and PS fans where the one doing most of the talking, always being defensive (even today i remember their favorites lines before the PS3 slim launch: we have blue ray, online is free, we have more exclusive, we have better games, we have the most powerful console).
Now it seems like Xbox fans are now the one being defensive: we have kinect, we have more real exclusives, we have better games, we have cloud...
