Forums - Sony Discussion - PS4 release date announced! Coming this November to NA and Europe

I thought they would want to release in Japan sometime in december....Guess not.

I had already expected the PS4 in mid november(though it looks like the butt man got this one wrong) so it's right up my alley

Please added to the OP.

US, Canada, Latin America and Europe.

"Today, we’re happy to confirm that PlayStation 4 (PS4) will launch on November 15th in the U.S. and Canada – in time for the holidays! PlayStation fans in Europe and Latin America will also be able to get their hands on a PS4 system on November 29th."

Nothing too unexpected but i would love to know where the October rumour came from

Xbox One, PS4 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch will sell better than Wii U Lifetime Sales by Jan 1st 2018

Japan is looking more and more like 2014.

TGS should have JP launch details

Thats the week before black friday right? If so it was predictable

//2 weeks

15 + 7 = 22;

22 + 7 = 29 == black friday;

This is great news for NA. I am not getting the ps4 until next year, but still I am happy to play it at local stores. GTA V is coming out so thats one of the reason why I am not getting a ps4 until early 2014.

Why so late, and why gt6 december 6? are you serious

When should they have released? To me, the times are perfect. GT6 won't interfere with the PS4's release date, nor vice versa. The latter in time for Christmas, the former for Black Friday.

Early november for gt6, people gifting games will miss out on it

Its about the time I was expecting, although I thought Europe would be earlier than that. It won't really matter since the Xbox One is only launching in 11 markets.
