I will permaban myself if the game releases in 2014.

in reference to KH3 release date

Its only a matter of time.
Nobody said VR had to be 100% like reality.
We can already read brainwaves to see which way a person wants to go, which arm they want to move etc.
All you'll need to do is think move forward and you will
A lot of the things people are bringing up have already been solved or are not the issue they are making them out to be.
I'd sign up for one with EQ level graphics and I am sure millions more would too.
I see some haven't even heard of Oculus Rift yet

Perception of reality is done through the senses, most of it through the eyes.
I am convinced that when oculusRift will come out, there'll be games that implement it where the immersion will be incredible. I think that actually this will quickly become a dangerous technology. VR addiction will be much worse than simple game addiction.
I'm still excited about it.

I expect this is where gen 9 or 10 consoles will go. Current research prototypes can actually read images out of your brain in real time. No, seriously: http://gizmodo.com/5843117/scientists-reconstruct-video-clips-from-brain-activity

Give that ten or twenty years to develop and it absolutely will be able to project images in.

Personally, I don't think I'd play an MMO with this until we understood what it could do to you. I expect no first world nation would allow a console which could fry your brain like SAO's could, and a lot of people (myself included) would have privacy concerns. This is not the kind of thing I'd early adopt, but I'm not an early adopter, anyway.

There is indeed such a thing as a legal secret, ya know.

until the solve the problem of tactile feedback (or lack thereof) i don't think you could do it.

..or not at least make something perceived as fun.

Yes, our team Oculus VR in California is developing this type of technology, please support us.

Currently we have developer SDKs for major game engines and platforms. Check out video below as we already have interested gaming companies and enthusist developers.

If interested, please support us as we make immersive gaming a reality.
