VRMMORPGs being Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games. Basically likes all the games in the anime Sword Art Online. Do you think we will have something like that in the future, if so would you be looking forward to it?

Holo deck ftw!

With the current level of technology its not possible for the foreseable future.

When technology makes some trides (and by this i mean at least 1 or two centuries) maybe. It would either be neural based, so you actually play in your dreams (but that sounds risky), or it would be something akin to the holo deck on star trek. The technology just needs to permit that a bigger space on the inside than on the outside (doctor who tardis like) and beeing able to generate objects that can be perceived as real.
Cetainly no easy task, it might be much further than i am predicting.

Sooo, if you think sword art online or .hack are gonna happen any time soon... no. At best you get this visor with 360 degree vision and a good old controller. Doesnt sound THAT appealing though.

Would i want to play it if the technology was here. If it wasnt dangerous then hell yeah...

technology makes some trides ??? 1 or 2 century ???? looking at where cybernetics, and brainwave control is today the only real issue we'll have by the end of this very century is feedback...

the tech will be there way before your expectation.... it's already around the corner... the hold back will be cost, security and legal issues..... ghost in the shell is at the door.....

Certainly at some point in time they will be possible. I just hope that those MMOs don't work like the .hack series and we get in a coma after playing them.

It will certainly be possible one day, as such technology is not outside the realm of possibility, but It's very unlikely to happen in our life times.

If a $200 million 2 hour film's CGI can't look 100% real, i doubt video games are going to be simulating virtual realities for a while :P

It would cost a massive fortune to implement the 1st one though.

It appears that they have all been Japanese only releases?
If there was an English release I would pick it up for SURE.
