Prison is for rapist, killers, theives, and politicians.  If you're not hurting anyone and get put in jail... that's a crime.

She deserved it as far as I could tell. I would need more context to give you a definitive answer but the woman in pink should not have been involved whats so ever but instead decided to assault the officer.

She deserves it.. The cop is alone in a hostile situation trying to aprehend one woman and she tries to grab him for no good reason.. If it was a man the cop would also have punched..

To think all this could have been avoided if the chick who is clearly refusing arrest didn't resist arrest.

Sounds like you might have aggressive tendences or a short fuse. She posed no threat to the cop, they have video proof. Problem is we don't know why the cop handcuffed her so until then you kind of need to reserve judgement, we all should. No cop should ever punch a woman, and second of all she never struck him.

There should be a button choice for he shouldn't "have punched her friend but, also we don't know why the girl had to be arrested".

I feel bad for that guys wife if she every becomes unruly. :)

The one was resisting arrest. The other was trying to free her from the cops grasp. But it's the cop who acted wrong? This country I live in lol. Where the criminals get a free pass

Does it matter what the girl was gonna be arrested for? Should a cop just back out cause the situation is getting hostile? Of course not.. I actually think the cop showed great restraint.. he could have pushed her to the pavement with a leg swipe, but he decided to put her against the car... he could have used his baton, pepperspray, tazer even his gun to get the girl down but didn't.. heck he could have used his gun to get the crowd back off.. the second girl shouldn't have tried to grab him.. in what world would we be if you can avoid arrest if your friends are going to hold down the cop making it impossible for him to arrest you..

The punch was needed to stop an escalating situation from escalating even more. Afterwards he could continue with the arrest.

-Nope neither, I just believe in gender equality, so if a woman wants to get physical then she will be delt with physically, same as men. cause and effect. But like I said a punch would not have been thrown if the woman in the pink had not got involved the way she did, she may think twice before doing it again.

-Your right we don't know why the cop is handcuffing her, but what is clear is that she is resisting arrest, so the question I would ask is why is she resisting arrest? Still as I've said before if she had complied with the cops request, this would not even be news.

-"No cop should ever punch a woman" that statment is sexist, it excludes men putting them as second class below woman when it comes to physical violence. What you should have said is 'No cop should ever punch anyone' this statment would be gender neutral.
