That's not such a bad score. It's about an 8/10 which is pretty good.

In most people's mind video game scores go like this:
7 and down:
8:
9 and up:

Cool, 78 gets rounded up to 80 so W101 should be seen as an 8.

Depends on who you ask. Most people will leave it at 7.

Good thing I don't ask most people.
That's actually pretty long. Why did Kamiya make it sound like the game would be 3 hours long.

He never did, he said something about focusing more on replay value than pure length, and people blew it out of proportion. No one ever actually said the game was short.
Not bad, to be honest I was expecting around an 85 though, it still has a chance but it seems unlikely for now.
Kinda like Zombi U...it either gets high score glowing reviews or a mediocre score. Zombi U was an either love it or hate it type of game, due to the nature of its gameplay and sometimes frustrating difficulty levels. I see this being the case with W101, it depends on the player and how they handle the complexities i suppose.
The game looks interesting and unique, it definitely deserves a meta in the 80s, few devs take risks these days and platinum should be rewarded.
