Sorry that was indeed bold :/ But I have a hard time understanding why people even suggested WiiU after the discouraging sales of Y HD.

Yet another game that won't make it west. Screw Sega
Xbox One, PS4 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch will sell better than Wii U Lifetime Sales by Jan 1st 2018

It isn't an experiment if it can't fail. I'd say sales to the tune of 2 or 3k (wasn't it?) FW did certainly not encourage them |
Ever consider it wasn't infact an experiment for sales? If it was, they wouldn't choose to port 2 games which have already been rereleased several years ago, I wouldn't think. Maybe it was an experiment for something else, the engine? Development? Maybe the game was never gonna be released, yet you had a near complete game so even getting back sales from 5k units sold would be worth it, if your expectation is 0.
Highly unlikely, I agree. I dont even really believe myself here, but its a possibilty. But the sales of this one title isn't enough to completely write off the system, and calling time on this as Turkish suggests is preemptive to be kind.
Love that image. It will be on PS4, the only way this comes to Wii U is if Nintendo pays for it.
But this isn't the Yakuza announcement I was looking for...

Nagoshi also pointed out that the Yakuza series was born and breed on PlayStation hardware—which is something he hasn't forgotten. "It isn't jumping ship to Nintendo hardware," he added. "Yakuza 1 & 2 are coming out on the Wii U, and this is what it is."
