It did. It had all the third party along with stronger first party than last generation. Difference is unlike last gen Sony had all the third party majorly exclusive to their console.

I don't know if the PS4 will ever be as good as the PS2 in J-RPGs, though...

Infamous is a third person Super power game, Order 1886 is a third person action/adventure game(story telling) with scientific weapons, Knack is a Platform, Drive club is a Racing, Media molecules IP is innovative game, Japan studio games are also innovative in every way, and Killzone is a FPS shooter. Even Yoshida said that our PS4 is not going a be Shooter platform after February launch in a interview.

SSM might have an mythology mechanics title but Naughty dog IP will a Action/adventure game. PS4 is never a Shooter platform and its will get loads of JRPG of Japan.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

While this does seem as a joke thread, the post does hold a bit of truth, but then again the same can be said of PS3.
I don't mind anyways some of these shooters on PS3 were amazing, but then the thing is not everything that has shooting is put under the shooter category, for example GTA is Action/Adventure even though it has shooting, Last of Us is survival horror and so on.

Ohhhhhh....If there are two companies that can reinvigorate the JRPG market (if they wanted to) it would be Nintendo and Sony. Microsoft can try but it would be all for nothing.
