Forums - Sony Discussion - So littleBigPlanet3 & Resistance 4, PS3 or PS4?

Another LBP for PS3 would be totally unnecessary, plus they have Puppetter this fall, so next LBP slightly revised - for PS4 and the sooner the better.

And I don't think there will be any more Resistance games, unfortunately

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Resistance is dead.

LBP3 on PS3 would be nothing but milking. The second game is already very close to being perfect. The few improvements could just be dlc. Also considering past dlc has been huge, I really would lose some Sony faith if it was on PS3.

LBP3D though, that would be new. I'd still prefer it on PS4 but at least on PS3 it would work.

I'm fine with R4 on PS3 or Vita cause is a dead franchise anyway but LBP3 should be on PS4 I can't imagine what MM could do with that much power.

I'm betting on LittleBigPlanet 3 being a PS4 game. As far as Resistance 4, I just don't know about that. The sales of the franchise kept getting weaker with each game. Both sequels sold half as many copies as the game before it and many credit the over 4 million sold copies of the original Resistance with being the only exclusive launch title worth anything. Sony may try one last time with it but if I were them, unless someone sold me on one hell of an idea, I'd be looking to other IPs or the creation of a new one to spend my money on.

No more ps3 exclusives. LBp3 should be ps4. Not even sure if resistance 4 is going to come out either way.

Better not see any more games on the ps3, would rather them on ps4

Why?  The PS3 userbase is 70+ million strong.  Not all those people are going to get a PS4 at launch.   It would be foolish for Sony to not continue to tap into that userbase for revenue.  One of the reasons why I prefer Sony over MS is because Sony continues to support their consoles well after the initial 4-5 years of their lifecycles.  To still have games like TLoU and GT6 be released in year 7 of the console's lifecycle is further confirmation that the PS3 was the better long-term investment.  It also validates what Sony said about caring for the gamers.  That's actually not BS.  They fully intend to keep their promise of supporting their consoles for the full 10-year lifecycle.

Also, not every market is getting the PS4 this year.  Many of them probably won't get it 'til 2014 and beyond.  Sony contined to release games for the PS2 well after the PS3's launch.

Bring it to PS4 rather than PS3. Get PS4 games lining up.

I would take LBP3 for PS3 since MM is expected to be working on a new IP for PS4.

For some reason I think Resistance franchise is dead.
