Pokémon X and Y Score 260,000 Preorders in Japan in Two Days, Not Counting Bundles
Media Create just posted its top 50 sales charts for last week, including an interesting snippet of information that confirms our previous reports about Pokémon X and Y flying off the Japanese virtual shelves.
In only two days (last Saturday and Sunday) Japanese gamers preordered a stunning 260,000 copies of the two versions of the game, which will be released on October the 12th. And the number is just related to copies of the game by themselves, not even counting the bundles with the console that have been sold out on Amazon Japan in nine hours, so the actual total is even higher.
If you’ve been wondering about just how successful the next Pokémon will be, wonder no more. If preorders are any indication (and they normally are), it’s selling like hotcakes…or bowls of udon, since we’re talking about Japan.
