First the platformers, then Invizimals and now this, there's no doubt in my mind they're gunning for the younger market this Christmas. If they have the price drop (both console and memory cards) to go with it, they might just manage to sell a few consoles.

That won't really work, because Sony has nothing else for kids.  If you're a kid, are you going to buy the system with Playstation Vita Pets, Little Big Planet, PSASBR, and Ratchet and Clank, or are you going to buy the system with Nintendogs, Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart, Mario Party, Lego City Undercover, Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion, Donkey Kong Country, Style Savvy, etc?  Sony is not going to beat Nintendo in the kids market anymore than the Wii U is going to become the favorite console among COD fans.  Sony's money would be better used for trying to attract older gamers who lean more towards action/shooting games.

this game shouldn't be too expensive to delevop. yes, it lacks upcoming big blockbusters now. but a game like pets is also needed.
they will be able to advertise it for the whole family. those older games who lean more towards action/shooting can say "oh look beloved wife, this device is for me AND for our little son, they have senran kagura and pets."

i say it is a cheap point, and a move that is... well, not wrong at least.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

Around the Network

If Nintendogs and Kinectimals had a baby.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I won't lie, I'm getting a bit of a kick over people being upset by a kid's game about talking dogs.

I really don't see that scenario playing out too often, especially cause they haven't attracted those older gamers yet.  This move isn't going to sink the Vita or anything, but I can't imagine there isn't a better way to spend that money.

they also have sly, tearaway, jak and daxter, rayman (ok, also on 3ds), mickey and some good psn games which should appeal to younger gamers...

it has a pretty good lineup i'd say!

This will come next:

Sony's already got that, it's called the Vita ... probably where Nintendo stole the idea for the Wiiu pad from. It really wasn't a well thought out dig was it?

lol if u actually believe this.

No PS3/PS4 version, no buy!

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

well if you do that you'd better cut the price because the targetgroup you're aiming this on will no way pay more than 150$ for the vita alone.

Oh boy, not even worth a sarcasm post.

Damn it I already sold my Vita. This always happens to me I sell something just when something good gets announced.
