Hey guys,

I've done a personal Top 5 Game Intro's which I'll share later but to no surprise to those who know me: I have a very fucking hard time deciding #1.

It's really between The Last of Us and God of War III. So... share your thoughts on the matter please! I'd like to hear it. Vote on the poll but I prefer actual posts :P

Both are great, but Kratos has my vote. Just thinking about how epic it was and the music that complemented the scenes had me in awe the first time, and every time I saw it since then. I don't think any intro got me as pumped to play as that one. That speech from Zeus was just awesome. It just showed how much of a threat Kratos was to Olympus.

Zeus! Your son has returned. I bring the destruction of Olympus!

Not really a fair comparison since they are totally different. God of War 3 however has reached a maximum level op epicness but the The Last of Us has the best intro in my opinion. God of War Ascension had also an epic intro but it was one step behind GoW3 which is a good thing for a God of War done by a B-team

Two very different intros, both achieve what the developers set out to but if I have to chose my favourite...

The Last of Us had a well-paced intro with a touching scene that set the tone well. 9/10

God of War III intro blew the roof off my house, so fucking epic and exciting, beautifully presented and the orchestral score just got me so pumped. 11/10

God of War III gets my vote.

both are great intro's but i would have to go with GoW3

I think both are number 1 in their genre.
But you can't compare them though.

Yeah I know they are vastly different but I think.. I am leaning towards GoW3 if I had to choose. Cheers.

The actual idea of the intro in GoW3 is ridicilous. I have a hard time seeing any game that is restricted to some sort of reality top it. Unless we see some GoW in another mythology xD

If we have to choose between these 2 games, than The Last of Us destroys God of War 3.

Outside of sheer scale, GoW 3 has nothing going for it. The Last of Us on the other hand, has you on the edge of your seat for 15 minutes and hits you harder than anything in the generation at the end of it all.

I love the Last of Us, but I don't see the big deal with the intro. It did a good job setting the mood but you could see it coming from a mile away. GOW3 intro is far better, but overall game vs overall game, Last of Us all the way.

The Last of Us intro hands down. That one will stick with me for many years.
