It does deserve to do better...but with the lack of support and TLC Sony have been given the Vita, it doesn't deserve to beat the 3DS outright, even if the system is technically better, HW wise.

No SONY does not take care of its handhelds. They make em then let 3rd parties take care of the rest. That's not first placs material. I dont want Vita to die either though. Just think of the all the journalism spin

I do, because it's a far better system in every aspect other than software support.

In the end it doesn't really matter. To the chagrin of Vita haters, Sony will bring first party content to the system once its done with promoting the PS4, the console sales will continue to expand (especially in Japan) and Japanese 3rd parties will continue to make games for it. For a system widely seen as a failure, it has a lot going for it.

You mean you want a system that has a large/alright library of (some) great games to do comparable/a little better than a system that has not all that much in the way of games? I could see myself agreeing with you if the Vita's library was more comparable.

nah, the 3ds has a more compelling software lineup by far compared to the vita. Vita is on life support anyways, so it overtaking 3ds prob won't happen. Maybe it'll carve a good niche or die a slow and painful death. Not sure, I don't see it ever overtaking the 3ds though.

I am also getting tired of seeing this too. Dreamcast, Saturn and Gamecube were also nice pieces of HW. Sure didnt save them.
