The game has been available for over a year on 360 and several years on PC. I don't think it has much to do with if they prefer it digital or not.

Most of gamers didn't buy digital (at least in PSN)... if the game didn't exists in retail form they don't buy it.

I will give a example... kids ask for dads and most dads buy retail games... I'm sure dads didn't use the 360, insert the credit card and buy the game lol.

The increase in sales is largely to due to the existence of very cheap editions and anticipation for GTAV. Last year at this time, it's not on the charts.

I think less than 10% of the games choose digital over retail and more than 50% never bought any digital content ever.

PC is a whole different market... even so I have all my games in retail form in PC too... like I said people prefer box over digital even on PC... most surveys says the even PC the DD is less than 50%.
