Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Woo Hoo, I just completed my last achievement in Alan Wake

I just finished:

Gunless Wonder 30
Make it to Cauldron Lake without firing a single shot in ''On the Road to Cauldron Lake.''

which was my last needed achievement in Alan Wake (Basic original game on the X360).  I'm really excited and have new theories about the game.  Also, what a well crafted game.  The sound is so much of an emotional tool - as in the movie JAWS.  Usually you know something is coming, but every know and then something jumps out at you. It's so well done as an experience.

Now I do have some more DLC to get too.

I can also see how much better I have gotten at playing them.  I didn't grow up with the two stick movement + camera controllers (mostly PC Gamer since, well since a long time.  Ok, Atari 2600, there I said it.)  Occasionally, when I first played it, I would get stuck like in Halo in those situations where you just get through, not have to kill everything (sometimes you can't.)

It's achievements may see easy to some, because you can work through them.  But it's the first one were I was able to get all those little sneaky ones.  Some of the other achievements in other games just seem so impossibly hard.  Did you think they were too easy?

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

glad you enjoyed Alan Wake. It is a really cool game and probably the most underrated this gen.
Can't wait for Quantum Break.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Yeah, I think I am going to get the achievements on Steam. Good stuff man. I finished the game but I havent played American Nightmare just yet.

The game is great and I think the achievements are done perfect.

This is very true, the game didn't get as much attention as it deserved.

I loved Alan Wake. One of my best experiences this generation. One of those games that tells a story perfectly and also original(Main reason Im so excited about Quantum Break). The gameplay is a bit repetitive but also fun.

Theres more underrated games than Alan Wake. Ever played Catherine? Most refreshing new IP I've seen out of japan in ages. You should check it out and its multiplat. Couldn't even sell 1 million copies across two platforms. Thats just sad.

Alan Wake was one of my favorite games this gen. Absolutely loved it.

I also want to point out that Alan Wake is undertracked. It has sold more than 3million copies. This is coming straight from Remedy.

Congrats. I too loved Alan Wake.

American Nightmare is a bit different, though. More action focused.

Please excuse my bad English.
